TENSION IN AKURE AS OGBONI LEADER IS BURIED.

Top traditionalists around Nigeria have converged in Akure, the
capital of Ondo to attend the burial of deceased national leader of
the Ogboni confraternity-Chief Araba Ajemoju. And in the midst of all
the preparations, anxiety and fear lurks everywhere, as there are
widespread rumours that people will be killed to honour the dead.
The streets have been deserted, and even strangers are not being
allowed in the parks, because there is the belief that strangers and
non-indegenes will be the main targets. Yesterday, rumours of a curfew
holding in the evening. Between 5pm and 6am emerged, and without
waiting for comfirmation, people fled into their homes out of fear.
Shops have closed down before 6pm since Chief Araba's death.
However, the police has assured that there will be no loss of lives
or property, but that the traditions of the people will still be
respected.

SEX SCANDAL: US MUST PROVE REPS GUILTY- HON.DOGARA

Speaker of the National house of representatives Yakubu Dogara
has spoken the mind of other members of the house. He says, that US
must provide tangible proof that the three reps are guilty of the
charges of sexual misconduct.
On June 9, the US ambassador to Nigeria, petitioned the house that
three members had been found guilty of different charges of
misconduct. Ranging from harrassing and asking hotel attendants for
sex, to requesting attendants to solicit for sex from prostitutes.
But Dogara is of the opinion that no one should be called guilty
except there are ample proofs against such a person. Standing on
this, he called on the US to bring proof, otherwise, there was no need
being judgemental.
Meanwhile the Speakers have dismissed the allegations as false,
but have stated their readiness to appear in any court in the US to
prove their innocence. Even at their own cost.

BANKS MOVE TO TO REDUCE WITHDRAWAL LIMIT TO N10,000.

CBN GOVERNOR: Godwin Emefiele

Banks in the federation put forward a proposal to the CBN to
limit customer's over-the-counter withdrawal to N10,000. The proposal
was sent to the Central Bank of Nigeria by the committee for payment
systems and infrastructure last week. This proposal is as a result of
the decline in deposit received by the bank over a period of two
years.
But a report from the CBN deputy governor on Economic policy,
Dr.Alade Sarah attributed the reduction in deposit to the introduction
of the Treasury Single Account system(TSA).
She also added that the decline was also as a result of the decline
in interest and non interest income to the banks which had declined
substantially. Not just interest but also GDP, Gross profit,Gross
credit and industry asset values have also reduced. All these decrease
were largely due to TSA.

JUST IN! WHAT NIGERIANS HAVE TO SAY ABOUT FLORIDA 'GAY' KILLINGS.

JUST IN! WHAT NIGERIANS HAVE TO SAY ABOUT FLORIDA KILLINGS.
Nigeria is one country where almost 95 percent of its population
are against anything 'gay' . And when the news of the Florida killing
spread to Nigeria, opinions started pouring, and guess. Over 90
percent of the comments praised the guy who did it. Some calling it an
'essential justice to enemies of humanity'.
These comments are from the facebook pages of Nigerian newspapers.

"Double deaths for them {victims} in hell fire, in
fact Obama should be blamed and hold
responsible for this indecent acts, during
campaign Obama was shouting change just like
Buhari in Nigeria but when he was elected into
the white house he gave the Americans illegal
change which is GAY marriage"

"Allahu akbar!
I'am really happy with dis good news...cause all
those gay are useless hopeless people,
say NO to #GAY_AND_LESBIAN...may god bless

-Murtala Mustapha Gama

People are very hypocritical, insensitive and
heartless. Something is wrong with you upstairs if
you think that killing people because they are gay
is normal. Killing people is murder. I'm disgusted
by some of the mean and heartless comments
here.
"Even if they are gay..They are still human..And
who know if given the chance they may repent
and be clean from their sin..I dont think anyone
has the right to take another man life....Yes gay is
percieved immoral likewise murder...Both parties
are wrong ...At least he could have done better if
he preached the sin attached to homosexual act
in the club...At least he may lost some of his teeth
Instead of taking life...."
Young Ahdeiza Sadiq
Still in the same anti-gay line another posted:

I love Muslims on issues like this. They know how

BUHARI TOLD TO RELEASE JUNE 12 RESULTS.

President Buhari has been told by the Afenifere Renewal Group to
release the results of the June 12,1993 elections. The Yoruba Socio-
political group on saturday demanded that the results be made ope,n
stating that the time lapse of 23 years had nullified the Official
Secrets Act.
The letter to Buhari was signed by the chairman of the group Hon.
Olawale Oshun during the June 12 anniversary celeberations on
Saturday. The chairman said it should be remembered that Buhari is a
beneficiary of a transparent and fair ballot process that was very
similar to that of June 12, elections. And besides, the Classified
Document Act time lapse of 23 years had elapsed.
Hon.Olawale also added that revealing the details of the document
will help remove the stigma associated with 'the foolish act"' of
cancelling an election adjuged as the most transparent in Nigerian
history. He also added that it will reveal the hypocrisy in military
rule and uphold justice and democracy as the best type of government.
He said that Nigeria would keep on sliding into deeper crises
until conscious efforts by the federal government is made to do a
needed retructuring of Nigeria, and that there was nobody in a better
position to do it than Buhari. And as long as the secrets of military
rule are not exposed for people to see, there will always be youths
who will take up arms against their country.
He lamented that up until now, what is common knowledge has never
been acknowldged by any government or leader. Describing it as
continous injustice, he added that until that injustice is cleared off
from memory, Nigeria will always be haunted and her healing process
will never begin.
