airport hurled an explosive device at a check-in counter before
attempting suicide.
The man who was later identified as Zhou Xingbai, a migrant worker
with gambling debts threw the explosive device which was packaged in a
beer bottle he brought out from a bag at a check-in counter. When the
device exploded, he brought out a knife and slashed his neck open,
collapsing on the floor.
Zhou is a 29 year old, originally from Guizhou, and according to
the police, he took several buses to arrive at the airport on sunday.
From investigation, it was discovered that Zhou filled the bottle with
explosive gun powder, the type used in fireworks. He is currently in a
critical condition while four people who got injuries from being hit
by pieces of the bottle are being treated at a hospital.
Zhou has a bad gambling history from a habit he developed after
graduating from high school. Before the incident he had lost all his
savings and was only surviving on money borrowed from friends.

do something so dangerous that he could lose his life.

CORRUPTION: EFCC SEIZES DIEZIANI'S $18MILLION HOUSE.

recovered a property worth 18million dollars from the former Nigerian
minister for petroleum- Dieziani Alison-Madueke.
Rated by many as the most corrupt woman ever to occupy any
political position in Nigeria, Dieziani, wife of a former Abia state
governor last year was accused of looting billions of naira, some of
which were found in her house when she was still being investigated.
And just recently, one of her assets, a home worth about $18m in
property has been seized and looked into.
The house, a building located in Asokoro, a suburb in FCT Abuja,
was found to contain high grade furniture worth over $2m, and a well
equipped bullet proof gym, worth about $1.5m(from my research). Not
just that, very expensive jewellery and antiques including
paintings,artworks and decorations were also discovered. Still in the
same house, billions of naira worth in foreign currencies were also
found after a general ransacking of the place. All these a result of
diverted and looted funds. And the Federal Government says this is
apart from the $10billion dollars that got missing during Dieziani's
tenure as petroleum minister.
In an interview with Aljeezra, the EFCC chairman- Ibrahim Magu,
revealed that the looted cash was stored in various banks home and
abroad, spent on luxury properties and extravagant trips. He also said
that within a short time, the organisation has been able to reach out
its hands of justice to political "heavyweights" who were formerly
tagged "untouchable" and has brought them over to legal convictions.
Alison Madueke is currently on a self imposed exile, but hasn't
been charged to court yet. Last year and early this year, she denied
all accusations levelled against her.
