BUHARI IS KILLING DEMOCRACY IN NIGERIA- Enugu Traditional Ruler.

"Nigeria's democracy is under serious threat if Buhari's
unforgiving spirit goes unchecked".
A traditional ruler in Enugu state has expressed his disapproval
on President Buhari's infamous habit of witch hunting his enemies in
the name of war against corruption. His royal highness Dr. Hafford

Ngana feels the arraignment of the senate president and his deputy and
the attempt on the life of vice senate president Ekweremadu proves
that there are powers who don't want the senator anymore.
The monarch while addressing journalists in Enugu said that
Gen. Buhari is putting Nigeria's democracy at risk by leaving his core
duties as a president and concentrating on chasing shadows. Just so
that he can witch hunt his political foes. He also added that since
the president entered, the nation has been moving from one storm of
crises to the other. Quoting from his words, he listed all the
supposed promises made by the president and his cabal during the
elections adding that none have been fulfilled.
"The promises upon which Nigerians voted Buhari into power are yet
to be realized; the cost of food items has gone beyond the reach of
the average Nigerian. The power outages have become the worst in
Nigeria's history. The level of unemployment, insurgency in the
North-East, the Niger Delta militancy, Biafra resurgence, the
harsh economy and more, are issues that should
occupy the time of the President instead of
pursuing those that did not vote for him during
the 2015 general election".

He went on to caution the president to be wary of his activities,
and stop doing things that would put the democracy of the nation at
risk. While at the same time calling on the attention of the
international community and the Igbo people living in diaspora(outside
the nation). In his statement he made efforts to raise an alarm on all
'free-minded' citizens to join in the fight against the witch hunting
activities of Buhari. And to speak against Buhari's decision to probe
Ekweremadu without a valid reason.
Speaking further on the forgery case of Ekweremadu and his boss
Saraki, he said that he had made efforts to enlighten himself on the
details of the case albeit did not find Ekweremadu guilty in any way.
He revealed further that all who were invited as witness to the case
never made any mention of the senator. Insisting that it can only be
the executive who uncovered the rotten meat that chose to add
Ekweremadu's case to the fray. He termed it 'core injustice'.
Ending his speech he accused the President of being highly
sentimental and lacking the necessary 'spirit of sportsmanship'
necessary as a leader of the biggest democratic power in the
continent. He said that the suspicious 'twists' in the case is another
dart on the board to point that Buhari had a thing against Ndigbo. And
that can only be hatred. He also said that Buhari works with the
policy of recommending favours and patronage for his supporters and
affiliates, while crashing down like bricks on his political foes.
This comes after the PDP members in the senate house announced
that the had indirectly passed a vote of no-confidence on the
president. The senate also made similar accusations on Buhari,
standing on the point that Buhari was deviating from his agenda as a
ruler and was moving towards tyranny.
From various quarters of the Nigerian public, voices have
criticised Buhari's supposed 'unforgiving spirit and hatred for for
certain sections of the population.
