The Abuja division of the federal high court has lost a judge.
In a statement issued to the press on thursday, the court's chief
register confirmed that Judge Steve Evoh Chukwu died on wednesday
after a brief illness.
Before his death, Steve Evoh was in charge of many high profile
cases including saraki's and Ekweremadu's forgery case and that of the
former governor of Adamawa-Murtala Nyako. In his honour, the federal
court declared thursday a court free day.
All court cases scheduled for thursday were adjourned.
